Buster Posey Removed With Right Knee Discomfort
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey (knee) was removed from Tuesday's game against the New York Mets with right knee discomfort. He was checked out by the trainer in the fourth inning and was replaced in the field in the next frame. The 34-year-old went 1-for-3 with a run scored before exiting. Posey is considered day-to-day and reportedly was removed for precautionary reasons. The Giants will provide an update on Posey's condition after the game. Curt Casali replaced the veteran catcher on Tuesday and would see an uptick in playing time if Posey were to miss any games.
