Tyler Mahle Takes Hard-Luck Loss On Sunday
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle turned in a solid outing in a 2-1 loss to the Miami Marlins on Sunday. Mahle allowed two runs over seven innings while striking out six and walking two. The veteran right-hander allowed just four hits, but unfortunately one left the park as a two-run homer. With the Reds offense managing just two hits, Mahle took the hard-luck loss, dropping his record to 10-5, to go along with a 3.64 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 174 strikeouts over 148 1/3 innings of work. He is scheduled to face off against the Detroit Tigers next time through the rotation.
