Jaguars Sign Duke Johnson To Practice Squad
3 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars signed free agent running back Duke Johnson to their practice squad, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. The signing comes hours after head coach Urban Meyer made it clear to the media that he wanted to add to the team's running back room. Johnson, a pass-catching specialist, racked up 484 total yards and two touchdowns with the Texans last season. If Johnson makes his way onto the 53-man roster he'd likely share third-down work with James Robinson, and possibly even Dare Ogunbowale. Johnson isn't on the fantasy radar at this time, though he could become somewhat relevant in deeper PPR formats if he's promoted to the active roster in the coming weeks.
