3 years agoNewly signed Jacksonville Jaguars running back Duke Johnson could be promoted to the 53-man roster before long. SI's John Shipley believes that Johnson "should be on the game-day roster sooner than later based on his skill set." The Jaguars do appear to want another pass-catching back in the aftermath of Travis Etienne Jr.'s season-ending foot injury, so it makes sense that Johnson could be promoted from the practice squad in the coming days or weeks. Between the team drafting Etienne and now signing Johnson, it appears that they don't feel comfortable consistently putting James Robinson out there on third downs. Johnson would only be on the fantasy radar in deeper PPR league formats if he were to make the game day roster.--Casey Kamholz
