3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Mychal Givens threw a scoreless ninth inning in a 4-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday. Givens struck out two and allowed one hit on the way to earning a save. The veteran reliever has been excellent in the back of the Cincy bullpen since the club acquired him at the trade deadline in late July. Givens has posted seven saves in eight chances since joining his new team. He appears to have emerged as the favorite for save chances in Cincinnati and should be rostered in all leagues going forward.--Matt T - RotoBaller
