Trevor Lawrence Up And Down In Regular Season Debut
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence went 28-for-51 with 332 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions in a 37-21 Week 1 loss to the Houston Texans. Lawrence and the entire team's performance against a very poor Texans team was largely disappointing. Lawrence put up some decent numbers, but most of his production came after the game was decided, and the three interceptions were a major issue. Lawrence did throw the ball 51 times, however, and he showed decent rapport with all three of his top receivers, with the highlight being a gorgeous 41-yard touchdown pass to D.J. Chark Jr. in the third quarter. Lawrence and the Jaguars need to be better starting next week against a tougher Denver Broncos defense. Lawrence should be viewed as a volatile QB2 in most fantasy formats.
