Marvin Jones Jr. Finds The End Zone In Week 1
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr. caught five passes for 77 yards and a touchdown against the Texans in a 37-21 Week 1 defeat. Jones was a favorite target for Trevor Lawrence in this one as he was targeted nine times in total, trailing only D.J. Chark Jr. (12) in that category. The rapport between Jones and Lawrence was well documented in training camp, and it appears to have carried over into regular-season action. In part due to losing game script, the Jaguars threw the ball 51 times in this one, and if the team continues to throw at a high rate Jones would certainly be a beneficiary. The steady veteran should continue to provide WR3/4 value going forward, and his consistent profile makes him a valuable fantasy asset in all 12+ team formats.
