Carlos Hyde Leads The Backfield In Week 1
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars running back Carlos Hyde led the team in touches on Sunday, racking up 11 touches and 58 total yards in the team's 37-21 Week 1 defeat against the Houston Texans. The extent of Hyde's involvement was surprising, and it appears that he's in a fairly even timeshare with James Robinson. Hyde caught two balls in the game, but with Robinson, and potentially even Duke Johnson around going forward, it would be surprising if he maintained a relevant pass-catching role. Hyde doesn't have much big-play upside in the tank at this stage of his career, so he should be considered a low-upside RB4 despite leading the backfield committee in Week 1.
