3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Vladimir Gutierrez struggled in a 5-4 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday. Gutierrez allowed four runs on five hits over 3 2/3 innings while walking three. He failed to record a strikeout in the loss. Gutierrez has been trending down of late, having allowed four or more runs and failing to make it out of the fourth inning in three of his past four starts. Gutierrez now has a 9-6 record, 4.25 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 82 strikeouts over 108 innings of work. He will face the Pirates again next time through the rotation.--Matt T - RotoBaller
