Sunday Night Football DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Week Two (9/19/2021)

Patrick Mahomes - Fantasy Football Rankings, DFS Lineup Picks, NFL Injury News

Happy Sunday and welcome to week two Rotoballers! In what feels like the longest wait ever, NFL football is finally back. Most of us started our fantasy journies with football, so it's always nice when it comes around. Thanks to the advanced analytics of today, I'll do my best to provide you with as much in-depth analysis as possible regarding positional matchups and the like to help put some lunch money in your pocket. Let's make some coin this season gang, and let's get right to it.

I will be providing you with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Sunday Night Football slate on September 19th. These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

If you have any questions you can follow me on Twitter @LucidMediaDFS and fire away, or sign up for a premium RotoBaller NFL package and chat with me and other NFL DFS analysts any time you'd like!

DFS Quarterbacks

Patrick Mahomes

There isn't much to be said for either of these quarterbacks, as I expect this one to be a shootout that provides entertainment for all of us. It's worth noting that the Ravens defense allowed 435 yards from Derek Carr on Monday, and with the loss of Marcus Peters pre-season, they aren't up to full strength.

Lamar Jackson

Again, not much to be said here. We have two of the top fantasy QBs of the last three years going at it. I think this is a showdown/single-game slate where you should be going 100% both quarterbacks, no questions asked. It's worth noting that the Chiefs didn't allow Baker Mayfield to throw a touchdown last week, but nevertheless, Jackson's rushing floor is too solid to fade in any circumstance.

DFS Running Backs

Clyde Edwards-Helaire

I don't think I'll have many runningbacks across my lineups tonight, outside of hedge lineups. I believe this game will be an air attack, with Lamar Jackson leading the game in rushing yards. CEH is always a valuable option, but even in the red zone Andy Reid gets tricky and it's not solid that CEH will see volume there. He only saw two red-zone attempts last week.

Latavius Murray

I'm only putting Murray over Ty'Son Williams here because of the value we'll inevitably need due to playing both Mahomes and Jackson. Murray led Baltimore in rushing attempts last week with 10. If that trend continues, he should have no problem hitting value, especially if he finds the end zone again.

DFS Wide Receivers

Tyreek Hill

On the final Ravens injury report of the week, both Jimmy Smith and Marlon Humphrey were limited on Thursday. They're both questionable tonight, with the expectation that at least Humphrey will play. Regardless, Tyreek should be able to take the top off the secondary.

Sammy Watkins

I'll be looking at Sammy Watkins and the revenge-game narrative in this one. Marquise Brown should play but may not be 100% with an ankle injury. We could see Watkins step up and be their highest-targeted receiver tonight.

Other WRs: Marquise Brown, Mecole Hardman

DFS Tight Ends

Travis Kelce

Both teams have defended the tight-end position well over the last year, with DVOAs less than zero. However, we saw last week what a "take-over" tight-end can do against Baltimore, with Darren Waller going 10/105/1. Not a great second matchup for Baltimore to have after that, and I can see Kelce doing something similar. I'll probably be about 50/50 between Hill and Kelce.

DFS Defense/Special Teams

Justin Tucker

I probably won't take any special teams or defenses in this one, but you can't go wrong with Justin Tucker. He's nearly automatic from anywhere within 50 yards and can knock a deep one down if he needs to. I just don't think there's much of a ceiling here, as I believe it'll be a touchdown fest.

Happy Football Season, Everyone!
