3 years agoCincinnati Reds left-hander Reiver Sanmartin was impressive in the first MLB start of his career. Sanmartin allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings while striking out five in a 13-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday. Sanmartin was called up to make a spot start after right-hander Luis Castillo had to go on the family medical emergency list on Monday. It is still unclear whether the Reds will keep Sanmartin in the big leagues or send him back to Triple-A Louisville following his Monday start.--Matt T - RotoBaller
