3 years agoColumbus Blue Jackets goaltender Elvis Merzlikins gets the start on Friday night versus the Vancouver Canucks. Merzlikins sports an 8-3 record in 11 games for Columbus but it is his home record that has drawn notice in fantasy circles. He has won seven of eight decisions while giving up just 16 goals (1.99 GAA). The Latvian boasts a .940 save percentage and his only shutout of the season in Columbus. Vancouver comes in scoring just 2.3 goals per game while allowing 3.25 a contest. That bodes well for Merzlikins' fortunes Friday night. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
