Brendan Gallagher Continues Downshift To Third Line
3 years agoMontreal Canadiens right-winger Brendan Gallagher will be employed on third-line duty again on Friday night versus the Buffalo Sabres. Gallagher was a top-six staple all season but eight points in his first 18 games put his spot in doubt. Now, the forward is still garnering power-play time and has points in consecutive games. Therefore, Gallagher is staying where he is with Jake Evans and Artturi Lehkonen for now. That helps Gallagher who will face Buffalo's depth which is ranked among the bottom five defensively. Overall, Buffalo allows 3.47 goals per game which is a plus.
