3 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Ilya Samsonov won his seventh straight start on Friday as the Capitals outlasted the Florida Panthers 4-3. The Russian goalie allowed three goals on 22 shots but got the win nonetheless. That gives him eight wins in nine starts on the season. Samsonov has been a bit hit or miss this season but the three shutouts make him more than worth a spot on fantasy teams. In his last seven appearances, Samsonov has either gotten a shutout or given up three goals. There has been no in between for the now 8-0-1 goaltender (4-0-1 at home). --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
