Trey Sermon Placed On Injured Reserve
3 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers placed running back Trey Sermon on injured reserve Saturday. In the Week 12 win over the Minnesota Vikings, he sprained his right ankle and was already ruled out for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks. The rookie running back will miss the next three games and is eligible to return at the end of the season. It's been a disappointing rookie campaign for Sermon, who has rushed for 167 yards on 41 carries and a touchdown over nine games. He was buried behind Elijah Mitchell, JaMycal Hasty, and Jeff Wilson on the RB depth chart. Sermon is mainly a stash in dynasty leagues and can be safely dropped in all redraft formats.
