Marvin Jones Jr. Disappears In Week 13 Loss
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr. caught just two of three targets for 11 yards in a losing effort against the Rams in Week 13. Jones has been struggling for some time now, but this was by far his worst game of the season. Jones was fifth on the team in targets despite being the perceived No. 1 option on the outside, and it's fair to wonder if his days as an effective NFL wide receiver are over at almost 32 years of age. Poor coaching, quarterback play, and the offense's inability to sustain drives are all factors as well, and everything has culminated into the veteran averaging just 33 receiving yards per contest over the last six weeks. Jones should be viewed as just a low ceiling WR5 option at this point, though there is some hope for more due to the team's very soft upcoming schedule.
