Is Adam Theilen Playing Tonight Against the Steelers?
Adam Thielen suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 13 and it was just announced that he would miss the Week 14 Thursday Night Matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Thielen leads the Vikings in receiving touchdowns and ranks second in receiving yards (686) and receptions (64).
With his absence, Justin Jefferson exploded for 182 yards and 11 receptions in Week 13. Kirk Cousins also turned to tight end Tyler Conklin, who hauled in seven of nine targets for 56 yards.
Should I Start KJ Osborn in Week 14 Against The Steelers?
K.J. Osborn stepped into Thielen's role as the team's No.2 receiver and saw seven targets, which Osborn turned into four receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown.
The Vikings are on the brink of NFL playoff contention and need a victory to salvage any chance of making their first playoff appearance in two seasons. The offense will be going up against a Pittsburgh Steelers defense that gives up 21.8 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, so please check your waiver wire if K.J. Tyler Conklin ranks in the top-10 among tight ends in receptions (47) and receiving yards (469). He should see an uptick in targets with Thielen out this week. The Steelers' defense has fallen enough lately to the tune of allowing 33.7 points per game in the past three games. Fantasy managers should play all of their Vikings players in this matchup against the Steelers.
