3 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was benched during Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. The 32-year-old threw a pick-six in the second quarter and was shortly pulled in favor of backup P.J. Walker with three minutes left in the first half. Newton struggled in Sunday's game, completing 6-of-11 pass attempts for 88 yards and an interception while rushing for 33 yards and a touchdown before being benched. Walker didn't fare any better and threw an interception in his second pass attempt of the game. The 26-year-old will operate as the team's starting quarterback for the rest of the game.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
