Furkan Korkmaz Remains Unavailable For Monday’s Game
3 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers shooting guard/small forward Furkan Korkmaz (illness) has been ruled out for Monday's contest against the Celtics due to an illness, the third straight outing that he will miss. Korkmaz has carved out a role in the Sixers' rotation primarily due to his long range marksmanship, but he has been uncharacteristically cold from behind the arc over his last eight games, shooting just 9.5%. His absence leaves Philly thin on the wing for the time being, as Seth Curry stands to see a huge workload, while Isaiah Joe and Matisse Thybulle stand to see additional time on the floor as well. Korkmaz's next chance to suit up comes Thursday vs. Atlanta.
