Travis Kelce Lands On COVID-19 List
3 years agoKansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has become the latest big name to be placed on the league's Reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. Kelce is vaccinated, though, which paves the way for him to still potentially suit up Sunday under the league's protocols. Kelce, who was named to his seventh consecutive Pro Bowl earlier in the day, has yet to miss a game this season, having compiled 83 receptions for 1,066 yards and seven touchdowns. Without him in the offense, Noah Gray and Blake Bell would likely see more snaps, but neither offers anywhere near the same pass-catching threat. The wide receiving quartet of Tyreek Hill, Byron Pringle, Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson would benefit from a Kelce absence, but quarterback Patrick Mahomes would be down a key weapon in a matchup against a solid Steelers pass defense.
