RJ Barrett Remains Sidelined For Thursday’s Game
3 years agoNew York Knicks small forward RJ Barrett has been ruled out for Thursday's contest against the Wizards as he continues to ramp up for a return to game action. Barrett has not played since Dec. 10 due to COVID-19 protocols, with his absence funneling more minutes and usage in the direction of Evan Fournier, Alec Burks and Quentin Grimes. Prior to entering the league's protocols, Barrett had been finding his rhythm offensively, averaging 23.3 points while shooting 60 percent behind the arc over his last three games. A return to play is imminent for the 21-year-old, which could come as soon as Christmas Day vs. Atlanta.
