Marcus Smart Will Miss Monday’s Game
3 years agoBoston Celtics point/shooting guard Marcus Smart (hand) has been ruled out for Monday's contest against Minnesota, further decimating the team's backcourt depth. Payton Pritchard stands to see a massive workload without Smart, Dennis Schroder, or Josh Richardson (health and safety protocols) in the mix. While Smart is on pace to set a new career high with 2.0 steals per game, his scoring average has dipped to 10.9, while shooting from behind the arc at just a 28.5 percent clip. The absence will mark just his second of the season, with his next chance to suit up coming Wednesday vs. the Clippers.
