Derrick White Drops Team-High 21 Points In Defeat
3 years agoSan Antonio Spurs point/shooting guard Derrick White stepped into a larger offensive role during Monday's loss to the Jazz without Dejounte Murray in the mix and enjoyed a 21-point effort on 8-for-16 shooting overall. After spinning a season-high 10 assists in just 16 minutes in his last outing, White pitched in eight dimes this go-round, adding three steals, three made triples and two rebounds to tie a bow on his stat line. In addition to being arguably the team's No. 1 option on offense for the time being, White is also seeing elevated ball-handling duties, giving him enormous upside for as long as Murray remains out of the mix. With that said, he'll have a difficult matchup Wednesday vs. Miami, a team that is allowing the fewest DFS points per game to opposing point guards this year.
