3 years agoToronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet struggled mightily from the field with a 10-for-27 effort against the Clippers on Friday but still ended up leading all scorers with 31 points in a 116-108 win. He hit four shots from deep with 13 attempts and finished with a 7-for-8 record at the line, dishing out nine assists with one turnover and adding four rebounds, two steals and one block to his line. If we ignore the shooting, this was a very good effort from VanVleet, who averaged 29.7 points per game in his final three 2021 outings. He now heads into a matchup against the Knicks, which hasn't suited him very well this season. VanVleet has shot below 38 percent from the field against the Knicks in two games, averaging 17 points.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
