Melvin Gordon III Leads Broncos With 43 Rushing Yards
3 years agoDenver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III led the team in Sunday's 34-13 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers with 10 carries for 43 yards while adding three catches on four targets for 29 yards in the passing game. Gordon had four fewer carries than rookie Javonte Williams, but he was more productive on the ground and saw three more targets through the air than Williams. With backup quarterback Drew Lock under center for a second straight game, the Broncos didn't find much room to run with the Chargers devoting extra attention to stopping Denver's rushing attack. It remains to be seen if Lock will make another start for the injured Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) in the Week 18 season finale against the Kansas City Chiefs, but either way, Gordon will be a low-end RB2/high-end RB3 for fantasy purposes in what could very well be his last game with the team.
