3 years agoSan Antonio Spurs point guard Dejounte Murray has been removed from the league's health and safety protocols, paving the way for a return to action Wednesday against Boston. While Murray remains on the shelf Tuesday, getting him back will be a major boon for the Spurs' backcourt; Derrick White, Tre Jones, and Bryn Forbes all stand to see their upside stunted by Murray being back in the mix. Murray has performed at an All-Star level in 2021-22, averaging 17.8 points, 8.8 assists, and 8.4 rebounds per contest, having reeled off three triple-doubles in December alone. He should be back on the floor for a particularly advantageous matchup, having dominated the Celtics to the tune of a 29-point, 11-board effort back on Nov. 26.--Jesse Borek
