Terrace Marshall Jr. Placed On Injured Reserve
3 years agoThe Carolina Panthers placed rookie wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. (undisclosed) and left tackle Cam Erving (calf) on Injured Reserve on Wednesday, so they will miss the Week 18 regular season finale against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Marshall, who was a second round pick this spring, was a disappointment in his first season in the NFL. The 21-year-old will finish with only 17 catches on 30 targets for 138 yards and no touchdowns in 13 games played. To be fair, though, Carolina's putrid quarterback play for the vast majority of the season didn't make it easy on any of the team's pass-catchers. D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson will close out the season as the top two wideouts for quarterback Sam Darnold, but Moore has been the only WR worth using in starting lineups for most of the year.
