Giannis Antetokounmpo Will Miss Wednesday’s Contest
3 years agoMilwaukee Bucks power forward/center Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against Toronto. The two-time MVP has been on a torrid stretch as of late, averaging 32.6 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 6.6 assists over his last five contests, all while shooting 57.3 percent overall. Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton stand to enjoy elevated offensive roles without Antetokounmpo in the mix, while any other active members of the Milwaukee frontcourt (Bobby Portis, DeMarcus Cousins, Wesley Matthews) have significant upside due to the team's limited available players. It's important to note that Antetokounmpo has not been added to the league's health and safety protocols, which means that his next chance to suit up comes Friday vs. the Nets, whom he dominated to the tune of a 32-point, 14-rebound performance on Opening Night.
