Justin Fields Will Start Against Vikings
3 years agoChicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy said that rookie quarterback Justin Fields (ankle) will practice in full on Wednesday and will start on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings in the Week 18 regular season finale. With nothing left to play for, Fields appears to be 100%, otherwise it's highly unlikely the Bears would risk further injury to who they hope is the future face of the franchise. Fields has missed the last two games, but he'll return against a Vikings team that he went 26-for-39 for 285 yards and a touchdown against his last time out before getting injured. The dual-threat QB has had his share of ups and downs in this lackluster Bears offense in his first 12 games (10 starts) -- he has seven touchdowns, 10 interceptions and a 25.7 QBR -- but Fields could have high-end QB2 upside with several big-name starting QBs potentially resting this weekend.
