Packers Plan To Start Aaron Rodgers Against Lions
3 years agoThe Green Bay Packers are planning on starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Sunday against the Detroit Lions, and head coach Matt LaFleur will see how the game goes. "I don't think he needs to play. I think he wants to play and keep the momentum going," LaFleur said. The Packers have already locked up the NFC's No. 1 seed and a first-round bye in the playoffs, so they don't have anything left to play for, except to keep their momentum going. The 38-year-old MVP front-runner has also been dealing with a fractured pinkie toe since mid-November, although it hasn't negatively affected his performance at all. Even though Rodgers and the rest of the starters seem likely to start in Week 18, we'd be shocked if they played an entire game, making all of the Packers offensive skill players extremely risky in starting lineups with fantasy championships on the line.
