Ryan Palmer Not Expected To Contend At Sony Open
3 years agoRyan Palmer can drive a ball just over 300 yards but his lack of putting ability may be his downfall at the Sony Open this weekend. He gained just 0.099 strokes putting which ranked a mere 89th. His work around the green is worse at 144th and in the negative direction. His driving accuracy and greens-in-regulation are also in the middle of the pack. The course at Waianae just does not suit his abilities. As illustrated last year, Palmer finished 41st as he just could not set up enough birdie chances or drain them for that matter. More of the same is likely this weekend.
