3 years agoToronto Raptors power forward Scottie Barnes (knee) and shooting guard Gary Trent Jr. (ankle) have been ruled out for Tuesday's contest against Phoenix. Both are dealing with soreness for their respective ailments, with Barnes having struggled to the tune of a 10% three-point percentage over his last four games. Trent's absence will mark his second straight on the sidelines, paving the way for Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk to play a larger role, while Khem Birch will remain among the starting five. Barnes has emerged as one of the league's premier rookies (14.7 PPG, 8.0 RPG), whereas Trent has established himself as a season-long asset (16.4 PPG, 2.7 made threes) in most formats. The next chance for either to suit up comes Friday vs. the Pistons.--Jesse Borek
