The 2021 NBA season is underway and that means our new friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best and easiest to win NBA DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for tonight, January 13th.

Karl-Anthony Towns OVER 3.5 Assists - I start off tonight with KAT's assist prop. While KAT has been a force both scoring and on the boards this season, averaging 24.6 and 9.3 respectively, he's been putting up solid assist numbers as well. He averages 3.7 assists per game on the year, and sportsbooks have recognized this as this number is already at -132 as I type this. Towns has hit this number in four of his last five, eight of his last ten, and at a 56% clip on the season. The Grizzlies are at the league average in regards to assists allowed to centers, so there is no major matchup effect here. My early number project KAT at 3.8 assists, making this a solid value play.
Lu Dort OVER 3.5 Rebounds - This number is just far too low, as Dort averages 4.1 rebounds per game this season. This number is already at -142 on sportsbooks, and for good reason. Dort has hit this number in four of his last five, eight of his last ten, and at a 64% clip on the year. This will be the second consecutive game where OKC will be without Isaiah Roby and Kenrich Williams, and Dort finished with five rebounds on Monday in the same situation. It appears that Dort will line up at the four tonight against Brooklyn, who allows +1 rebound over the league average to the position. The Nets won in blowout fashion last night, but now get a back-to-back at home after a 10 pm start just one time-zone over. Expect tired legs and laziness on the glass, and my projections have Dort at 4.8 rebounds tonight.
D'Angelo Russell OVER 2.5 Three-Pointers Made - Another number that kind of feels low here as Russell is averaging 3 three-pointers made per game on 8.5 attempts per game this season. Russell has hit this number in four of five, eight of ten, and at a 65% clip on the season. This should be a fun one against Ja Morant and the Grizzlies, who rank 17th in threes allowed and 26th in 3PT% allowed. They do a decent job against shooting guards shooting the three-ball, allowing -0.16 under the league average to the position. However, my projections have Russell at 3.1 three-pointers made tonight and if he puts up the volume he usually does, he should have no issue hitting this number.
Other Recommendations - Patrick Beverley OVER 9.5 Points, Kevon Looney OVER 5.5 Points, Andrew Wiggins OVER 16.5 Points, Josh Hart OVER 4.0 Assists
Overall recommendation for this play: FLEX
