Myles Turner Will Miss At Least Two Weeks Of Action
3 years agoIndiana Pacers center Myles Turner (foot) will be shut down for at least the next two weeks as he deals with a stress reaction in his left foot. The move comes at a particularly inopportune time for both the team and Turner ahead of the Trade Deadline, with the big man's league-leading 2.8 blocks per game making him a coveted trade target. Domantas Sabonis stands to step into a larger rebounding role without Turner in the mix, while Goga Bitadze could see an increase in usage as well. Turner has emerged as one of the league's premier shot blockers over the past four seasons, but he has frequently battled injuries, playing more than 65 games in a campaign just twice across his first six years. His next chance at suiting up is at least Feb. 2.
