Kemba Walker Returns For Tuesday’s Game, Will Start
3 years agoNew York Knicks point guard Kemba Walker (knee) has been given the green light to suit up for Tuesday's contest vs. the Timberwolves. Walker rejoins the starting five out of the gate despite missing the past nine outings due to left knee soreness. New York had been operating with a combination of Alec Burks and RJ Barrett serving as the team's primary ballhandler, with Walker's return giving the team a consistent point guard. Immanuel Quickley and Quentin Grimes are the two candidates to see their minutes total adversely affected by Walker's return. Prior to his injury, Walker had reestablished himself as a genuine season-long asset, having reeled off a 44-point outing and triple-double in back-to-back appearances.
