Marcus Smart, Aaron Nesmith Ruled Out For Friday’s Game
3 years agoBoston Celtics point guard Marcus Smart and small forward Aaron Nesmith (ankle) will be unavailable to play in Friday's contest against Portland. Smart is missing his sixth consecutive outing, although head coach Ime Udoka was optimistic that the team would have him back for their next contest on Sunday in Washington. Nesmith continues to battle an ankle ailment, which will keep him sidelined for a second straight game, paving the way for Romeo Langford to see a consistent role with the second unit again. Dennis Schroder will remain the team's starting point guard against a Trail Blazers defense that he scorched for 31 points in their last matchup back on Dec. 4.
