Nicolas Claxton Remains Unavailable For Friday’s Game
3 years agoBrooklyn Nets center Nicolas Claxton (hamstring) has been ruled out for Friday's contest vs. the Spurs, marking his fifth consecutive absence due to a tight left hamstring. Day'Ron Sharpe has taken over starting duties without Claxton in the mix and averaged 12 points and seven boards despite playing below 22 minutes per outing. The matchup is particularly advantageous for Sharpe as San Antonio has yielded the fifth-most DraftKings point per outing to opposing centers this season. Claxton is an intriguing season-long asset when healthy (65.6 shooting percentage, 1.2 BPG), but he can remain on the waiver wire until he returns. His next chance comes Sunday against Minnesota.
