3 years agoAtlanta Hawks power forward Danilo Gallinari (Achilles) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Heat due to a sore right Achilles. Gallinari has been a strong source of production off the bench for Atlanta as of late, dropping between 15-18 points in each of his last four outings. Without him in the mix, John Collins could absorb some additional minutes, while Lou Williams may take on a larger scoring role within the second unit. Gallinari's 13 PPG average across nine January outings has put him back on the periphery of season-long viability, but his availability will remain paramount in that endeavor. His next chance to take the floor comes Sunday vs. Charlotte.--Jesse Borek
