3 years agoPortland Trail Blazers power forward Robert Covington (knee) and small/power forward Nassir Little (shoulder) have been ruled out for Wednesday's contest vs. Dallas. The duo's absence will leave Portland massively shorthanded on the wing, paving the way for Tony Snell and CJ Elleby to see a significant minutes bump. Covington has struggled statistically during his second season with the Blazers, averaging just 7.7 PPG on 39 percent shooting overall. Little has seen his minutes total nearly double from where it sat last year, parlaying his elevated workload into 9.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per outing. The next chance for either to suit up comes Friday against the Rockets.--Jesse Borek
