3 years agoKansas City Chiefs cornerback Damon Arnette was released Saturday after having been arrested Friday night on charges of assault with a deadly weapon. The Chiefs added the former first-round pick to the organization on a futures deal, hoping that he could contribute come the 2022 season; a zero-tolerance policy was reportedly added to the deal, which led to Arnette's release. Arnette appeared in four games this season with the Raiders before he was released after posting a threatening video on social media. Chosen with the 19th overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, Arnette now finds himself a free agent.--Jesse Borek
