3 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans small forward Josh Hart (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game vs. Detroit due to a left knee contusion. Hart closed January by ripping off double-doubles in back-to-back outings, finishing the month by averaging 9.2 boards per outing, a career best for a single month of full production. Hart's absence should propel Garrett Temple into a larger minutes total, while also paving the way for Herbert Jones and Jonas Valanciunas to play a bigger role on the glass against a Pistons team that is last in the league in rebounding rate (47.6). The next opportunity for Hart to take the floor comes Friday against Denver.--Jesse Borek
