Kristaps Porzingis Heads To Wizards At Trade Deadline
3 years agoDallas Mavericks power forward Kristaps Porzingis has reportedly been dealt to the Washington Wizards just prior to the trade deadline on Thursday, with Dallas getting point guard Spencer Dinwiddie and power forward Davis Bertans back in return. Porzingis has once again been scuttled by injuries in 2021-22, having played in just 34 of Dallas' first 55 outings. He has averaged 19.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game, but his 29.5 minutes on a nightly basis is set for his lowest mark since his rookie year. When healthy, he should be one of Washington's primary offensive focal points during the second half with Bradley Beal (wrist) done for the season.
