Devin Vassell Shifts Into Starting Five Friday
3 years agoSan Antonio Spurs shooting guard Devin Vassell has been bumped into the starting lineup for Friday's game against Atlanta, taking the place vacated by Derrick White after his trade to the Celtics. Vassell previously started eight outings for the Spurs this season, although they led to minor elevated contributions; on the year, he has averaged 11.4 points and 4.3 boards per contest. Vassell is one of four current members of the San Antonio roster to attempt double-digit shot attempts on a nightly basis, a role that is only likely to grow in White's absence. The 21-year-old wing has some long-term upside potential that can be targeted in deeper season-long formats.
