Rudy Gay Will Miss Friday’s Contest
3 years agoUtah Jazz power forward Rudy Gay (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Magic due to a sore right knee. Gay's absence has climbed to three consecutive contests, with his minutes being distributed over the Jazz's usual second unit contributors. Gay, 35, is on pace to play a career-low 20 minutes per game this season, which has led to an average of 8.9 PPG, the only time in his career he has not averaged double figures. Jordan Clarkson and Eric Paschall will continue to hold elevated second unit offensive upside for as long as Gay is sidelined, with his next chance to suit up coming Monday vs. Houston.
