3 years agoThe New Orleans Saints are not expected to trade wide receiver Michael Thomas and want him back for the 2022 season. "It seems the curiosity and saga surrounding Michael Thomas, the Saints' standout receiver, is coming to a close in a positive way for all parties," said Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. "He's spent considerable time in New York after another setback with his [ankle], getting weekly treatments. That's where he has been really since the regular season ended. He is back in New Orleans now; he's been communicating with the team." In July, the 28-year-old underwent surgery on his ankle and missed the entire 2021 campaign. Thomas appears to be healthy heading into the 2022 offseason but will be a risky fantasy pick with uncertainty at quarterback and offensive-minded head coach Sean Payton now retired.
