Hyun Jin Ryu Tests Positive for COVID-19
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays pitcher Hyun Jin Ryu tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday. He's been training with Korea Baseball Organization's Hanwha Eagles until the MLB lockout ends. The 34-year-old is self-isolated after the positive tests but is expected to make a full recovery by the time Spring Training starts. After posting an ERA below 3.00 for three straight seasons, the southpaw took a step back in 2021. Ryu owned a 4.37 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 143 strikeouts across 169 innings. The veteran has an ADP of 196 and is currently being selected outside the top-50 starting pitchers in upcoming fantasy drafts.
