Kirk Cousins Receives High Praise Ahead Of 2022 Season
3 years agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is entering his fifth year as the team's starting signal-caller, but it will also be the first in which he will be teamed up with new head coach Kevin O'Connell. O'Connell, who just won a Super Bowl as the Rams offensive coordinator, is excited about the prospect of having a similar looking offense, saying via Courtney Cronin of ESPN, "I think we can build an offensive system like we had in L.A. to take advantage of that skill set." O'Connell would go on to describe Cousins as an "elite thrower," numbers backed up by the 68 touchdown passes (and just 20 interceptions) that he has combined to throw over the past two years. With numerous offensive weapons at both Cousins' and O'Connell's disposal, Minnesota's offense stands to see an uptick from the 25 points per game they averaged in 2021.
