3 years agoDetroit Red Wings defenseman Moritz Seider became a history-maker on Tuesday against Carolina, setting a franchise record for the longest assist streak by a rookie defenseman. He picked up a power-play helper on Lucas Raymond's game-winning goal in overtime, and Seider now has at least one assist in seven consecutive appearances. Reed Larson previously held the record from December of 1977 with a six-game streak. The German blue-liner has tallied 35 assists and 40 points in total this season, which puts him fourth in rookie scoring.
