Chiefs Reportedly Want To Re-Sign Orlando Brown Jr.
3 years agoThe Kansas City Chiefs reportedly want to re-sign offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. According to Chiefs general manager Brett Veach, the three-time Pro Bowl left tackle is a high priority to retain. "With Orlando, we're going to work hard to get a deal done," Veach said Tuesday at the NFL scouting combine. The 25-year-old was traded by the Ravens to the Chiefs last offseason, and his presence on Kansas City's offensive line only helps QB Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense. "As far as Orlando, he was a guy that had a dream to play left tackle and had a small sample size of him playing left tackle at Baltimore," Veach said. "He's another unique character too where when you talk about a culture, and when you talk about a guy that does everything the right way, Orlando Brown is in the category." The Chiefs will look to re-sign Brown but could place the franchise tag on the left tackle if a long-term contract is not reached. Stay tuned.
