Christine Michael #3 RB, Heavy workload for Matt Jones, Vernon Davis may be on trade block, Gus Bradley safe in London

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Christine Michael is likely to remain the Cowboys' No. 3 running back against the Giants despite the hype that was around Michael during the Cowboys bye week. I do think that Michael will get a few more carries than he has been getting, but being behind Joseph Randle and Darren McFadden on the depth chart is less than encouraging. How Michael is used coming out of the bye week will help paint a clearer picture for his rest of season outlook.

According to the Washington Post, Washington Redskins rookie running back Matt Jones is expected to see a "heavy workload both as a runner and pass catcher." This is bad news for Alfred Morris owners who were hoping for a midseason resurgence from the veteran. In short, Matt Jones is a solid start against the Buccaneers on Sunday and Alfred Morris should be relegated to your bench. The increase in Jones role is likely good news for Kirk Cousins, as he now has a more viable threat to catch passes out of the backfield.

According to Mike Florio, despite the absence of any clear reason to believe he’ll be traded, 49ers tight end Vernon Davis said he'd be "upset" by a trade, but he understands it is a business. If Davis is traded before the deadline, it'd likely be an uptick for Davis' fantasy value with him getting out of the San Francisco offense and he would likely be going to a team that needs and would use him. Vance McDonald would likely move into the starting tight end role for the 49ers in the event of a trade.

According to Ian Rapoport, despite rumblings that Bradley may become the next coach to be fired after returning from London, that barring a player mutiny, Bradley is safe for this year and next season. Bradley's safety is also good news for the long term prospects of Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles who has thrown for 1630 yards 13 touchdowns and seven interceptions coming into Week 7 this season. Bortles and Bradley are likely attached at the hip with Bortles starting job being as safe as Bradley's.
